I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the hat I saw back in an older Garand Thumb YT video. First of all the hat fits great. Snug on my melon so no real worries about being blow off even during monsoon season here in AZ. The material while firm is very soft against my forehead which adds to the comfort. I order the size #1 as I wear a 7/14 hat and the fit is just right. While it's too early to speak about the construction and longevity, I can say it looks to be very well made and I am hoping to be wearing it for years to come. Thanks Carcajou Tactical for offering up a terrific piece of headwear!

16 years in the military with five deployments and several different Boonie hats of different patterns and styles and this is the best one I’ve ever had hands down. 10/10 will buy another.
Can shop by your head size which is accurate. Regret all prior hat and suncover I have purchased before from bulk retailers. In between those and high priced retailers but quality and value is beyond compare.

Super goopy, great airflow, I would really recommend the longer brim especially if you have little to no overhead coverage. Would probably kiss the guy who designed this 10/10

Great hat with enough brim for good shade and the ventilated top lets heat out. Definitely can tell a difference compared to my enclosed boonies
I tried both the Jungle and Recon varieties, and I much prefer the former. The deeper crown allows more head coverage while the wider brim is more useful in the sun. The vented top has kept me cool through some 12–15 mile hikes over rough and thick terrain. Order a size up if you’re anywhere close in between.
The Jungle Boonie Hat is now my constant summer outdoor headgear. The sizing options were perfect. The lightweight material with ventilated crown allows the wearer to stay cool. Any other boonie I have worn the brim is so large it droops obscuring while hiking the Rocky Mountain backcountry. The mini-MOLLE band will be used this Fall for my first ghillie project. Made in Canada os Definitely 5 Stars of 5 Stars.
I have been looking for a good A-tacs boonie for quite some time. This one takes the cake, and is going to make the rest of the summer way more bareable. Would absolutely love to see the desert tiger stripe patter come into this model if at all possible. Thank you for an awesome product!

Got this to use on my farm as a daily hat with the mesh top it traps 0 heat its been wonderful on these 90+ dagree days. Construction is good, netting is well stitched in, brim isn't too floppy, tho it could use a sweat band of some sort.
