Built for demanding winter environments where warmth, waterproof protection, and adaptability are essential, the Outdoor Research Arete Modular GORE-TEX® Mitt combines premium materials with a versatile modular design that provides dependable protection against harsh winter conditions.

The waterproof and windproof outer mitt features a GORE-TEX® insert that provides reliable protection against snow, moisture, and cold winds while maintaining breathability during active use.

100 g EnduraLoft™ synthetic insulation delivers dependable warmth without excessive bulk, while the durable stretch-woven outer fabric provides flexibility and freedom of movement. The traditional mitten design keeps fingers together to maximize warmth and heat retention during prolonged exposure to cold temperatures.

A water-resistant goat-leather palm and thumb provide excellent grip, abrasion resistance, and durability when handling equipment, trekking poles, tools, and other gear.

Inside, a removable 300-weight fleece liner mitt adds warmth and versatility. The liner can be worn independently during milder conditions and features touchscreen compatibility, allowing smartphones, GPS units, and other electronic devices to be operated without exposing bare hands.

This modular construction creates a practical 3-in-1 system: wear the complete mitt for maximum warmth and weather protection, use the insulated waterproof outer shell independently, or wear the fleece liner on its own when conditions allow.

A full-length adjustable gauntlet extends over jacket sleeves to help prevent snow and cold air from entering, while the adjustable wrist cinch provides a secure and comfortable fit. Removable wrist leashes help prevent accidental loss when the mitts are removed, and integrated glove clips keep the pair secured together during storage or transport.
