The Outdoor Research Men’s Shadow Insulated Jacket combines lightweight synthetic insulation, stretch, breathability, and weather resistance in a comfortable jacket designed for both active use and everyday wear.

Insulated with VerticalX™ ECO technology, the Shadow provides efficient warmth without excessive weight or bulk. The synthetic insulation retains performance in variable conditions and makes the jacket an excellent choice for situations where layering flexibility is essential.

The lightweight 20D nylon-spandex stretch woven shell provides movement-mirroring stretch, allowing the jacket to move naturally during field work, hiking, training, and other active pursuits. The fabric is also highly wind resistant and water resistant, providing useful protection against light precipitation and changing weather.

Its versatile construction allows the Shadow to function as a standalone insulated outer layer in cool, dry conditions or as a warm midlayer beneath a waterproof hardshell when conditions deteriorate.

An insulated collar adds warmth around the neck, while zippered hand pockets lined with soft brushed tricot provide additional comfort in cold conditions. An exterior zippered chest pocket and internal stash pocket provide convenient storage for essential items.

Low-profile stretch cuffs integrate comfortably beneath gloves and outer layers, while the adjustable drawcord hem helps retain warmth and provides a secure fit.
