The Outdoor Research Men’s Solstice Soft Shell Jacket combines exceptional durability, breathability, weather resistance, and unrestricted mobility in a technical tactical softshell.

Constructed from a rugged Cordura®-blend stretch woven fabric, the Solstice delivers excellent abrasion resistance for movement through dense vegetation, rough terrain, vehicles, and equipment-heavy environments. The fabric combines 64% Cordura® nylon with 4-way stretch, allowing the jacket to move naturally during dynamic activity without sacrificing durability.

A durable water-repellent DWR treatment helps shed light rain and snow, while the breathable softshell construction allows heat and moisture to escape during high-output activity. This makes the Solstice particularly effective in cool, windy, and variable conditions where a fully waterproof hardshell may be unnecessarily restrictive.

The highly articulated fit is designed around operational movement and accommodates body armor, packs, and additional equipment without significantly restricting mobility.

Multiple YKK® DWR-treated zippered pockets provide secure storage for essential equipment, including zippered hand pockets, a chest pocket, and a dedicated shoulder pocket.

Hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and a drawcord-adjustable hem allow the jacket to be sealed against wind and changing weather conditions.
