Squishy but too small

These pads are quite soft and the design to attach them is well thought out. The production quality is also excellent.
In usage:
Now this may be different for those of wider chests, but as a person of thinner stature I will say the pads are either too wide or not wide enough(38in chest). The pads a just wide enough where they interfere with shouldering a rifle. Basically the side of the pads dip into your rifle pocket and produce an uneven surface for the mount especially if done quickly. Personally, I run without them as the strap of the harness is thin enough to not interfere with shouldering.

Been rocking LBE for quite a while but always had a lot of pressure on shoulders.it was odd to me that the LBE itself didn't have much for integrated pads but these things are straight up great and allow for better cabble management
