About The Founder
Founder and president André De Carufel has served as an infantryman with the Royal 22nd Regiment, followed by the Canadian Airborne Regiment as a Paratrooper with 1 Commando.
At the end of his military career, André joined the Corps of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as a Material Technician. That is where he learned the skills that would propel his second career.
Today, Carcajou Tactical has grown from a one-man workshop into a trusted Canadian manufacturer supplying innovative tactical gear to military, law enforcement, and prepared civilians around the world. Based in QC, Canada, the company remains proudly veteran-owned and operated and is now run by the De Carufel family.
Together, they continue to uphold André’s original vision, crafting reliable, mission-driven gear built on real operational experience and continuous feedback from active professionals.
