The Outdoor Research Lightweight TF Shell Mitt is a lightweight, packable waterproof over-mitt built to layer over contact gloves or intermediate cold-weather gloves.

Rather than carrying a bulky dedicated waterproof glove, the TF Shell Mitt can remain stowed in a pack or pocket until rain, sleet, or wet snow moves in. Its waterproof and breathable construction helps keep your primary gloves dry while adding minimal weight and bulk to your kit.

The 3-finger trigger-finger design combines the weather protection and warmth retention of a mitt with improved tactility for handling equipment. Separating the index finger provides greater control when manipulating tools, weapon systems, buckles, communications equipment, or other mission-essential gear.

A textured TPU overlay reinforces key grip and wear areas for increased durability, while an interior grip strip improves dexterity and helps reduce movement between the shell mitt and the glove worn underneath.

The extended cuff features a drawcord adjustment that can be tightened around outer layers to help prevent precipitation from entering the glove system. An integrated carabiner loop makes it easy to secure the mitts to a pack or equipment when not in use.
