What sets us apart
Every piece of Carcajou Tactical gear is designed and manufactured in Canada by a veteran and family-owned company that proudly employs veterans. Built for real-world use, our products are tested in military, law enforcement, and field conditions to ensure durability, modularity, and mission-ready performance.
plate carriers and armour
Our NEXUS series is designed for SAPI/ESAPI sizes, most commonly 10”x12” shooter’s cut plates, and supports soft armor backers for comfort and edge protection. Always confirm plate measurements before ordering
Yes. The NEXUS system is modular—swap placards for direct action, recce, or low-profile work, and choose between elastic, MOLLE, or structural cummerbunds depending on load and mission.
Chest Rigs, Belts & Load Bearing Equipment
A chest rig is designed for carrying gear only, such as magazines, medical, and admin items. It’s lightweight, low-profile, and ideal for situations where mobility and comfort are priorities, but ballistic protection isn’t required.
A plate carrier, on the other hand, is built to hold ballistic plates for protection. It can also carry gear, but its primary role is to provide armor. This makes it heavier and bulkier, but essential when protection is needed.
A belt kit is ideal when you need to carry heavier loads comfortably over longer periods. It distributes weight around your hips instead of your shoulders, reducing fatigue and improving mobility, especially when running, patrolling, or operating in the field for extended durations.
A chest rig is better suited for lighter, more streamlined setups where quick access and a low profile are priorities.
Yes, our pouches are designed to be fully MOLLE/PALS compatible, which is the industry standard used across most tactical gear brands.
Maintenance
After field use, brush off debris, rinse with fresh water if exposed to salt or mud, and air dry in shade. Avoid harsh detergents and direct high heat. For camouflage gear, store in a dry, breathable bag to preserve garnish and netting.
