The Outdoor Research Allies Colossus II Pant delivers heavy-duty insulation, waterproof protection, and exceptional durability for some of the harshest winter environments.

Designed for military professionals and cold-weather operations where maintaining body heat is critical, the Colossus II combines VerticalX™ ECO synthetic insulation with Outdoor Research’s breathable AscentShell™ Air membrane and a rugged Cordura® nylon ripstop exterior.

The shell provides waterproof and windproof protection while maintaining breathability, helping protect the wearer during prolonged exposure to snow, freezing precipitation, and severe winter weather.

Inside, 150 g/m² VerticalX™ ECO synthetic insulation provides substantial warmth without relying on down, making it well suited for environments where moisture, snow, and changing conditions are expected.

The Combat Fit is designed to accommodate cold-weather base layers and additional insulation while maintaining mobility. Articulated knees further improve freedom of movement during kneeling, climbing, vehicle operations, and movement through difficult terrain.

YKK® AquaGuard® full-length separating side zippers allow the pants to be put on or removed over boots and other layers without requiring footwear to be removed—an important advantage during winter field operations. The full-length zippers also provide rapid ventilation when required.

Large baffled thigh pockets provide accessible storage for essential equipment, while tough puncture- and tear-resistant scuff guards reinforce high-wear areas around the lower legs.

Integrated belt loops, an internal elastic waistband, and compatibility with accessory suspenders allow the fit and support to be adapted to the user's layering system and equipment load.
